Providing quick detection of cable breaks & phase detection in sockets, this instrument incorporates highly useful advanced features while remaining extremely compact. With a clear, omni-directional LED and alarm system, if the DL108 does detect an AC current the operator is alerted by both visual & audible indication. Should the device be required in a more industrial environment where further indication may be needed, this DiLOG detector includes an optional vibrate function which indicates the presence of a strong magnetic field.One of the primary advantages of the DiLOG DL108 Non Contact Voltage Detector is the inclusion of two selectable detection levels. For voltages between 90 to 1000V AC, the “High Voltage Mode” is suitable for a domestic electrical supply and detecting three phase systems. Whereas for voltages as low as 24V AC, the portable DL108 features a “Low Voltage Mode”. This is for noticeably weaker magnetic fields and incredibly useful for testing audio systems, arc welding equipment, low-voltage motors & tracing power on cables with thick insulation or from a greater distance.Rated CAT IV for a 1000V and with an IP67 rated casing, the DiLOG DL108 ensures the highest level of safety for the user. Lightweight and battery powered, this detector has a built-in auto power off function with electronic switch to avoid irritating buzzing whilst simultaneously extending battery life.
