COLUMBIAN TETRA 1-2CM This tetra is an excellent choice for your aquarium, but there are a few factors to consider in order to enhance the beauty of this fish. Unlike smaller tetras, it can grow to a medium size of just over 6.5cm/2.6″. In the wild, they thrive in large shoals, so it’s best to keep them in groups. Colombian red-fins are highly active swimmers with large eyes and strong teeth, which are all signs of a fish that excels at catching prey and avoiding being eaten by larger fish. There have been reports of them chasing other tank mates and nipping their fins, so it’s recommended to keep Colombian tetras in groups of 6 or more.
