When I pulled this out of the box I was a little leery because it doesn’t have any legs or anything to stabilize the ramp from tilting left and right. However, I decided to give it a try and my dog was cool with it. She didn’t have any issues or any hesitation going up it. Of course she wanted to jump off the side of it on the way down instead of walking to the very bottom of the ramp. However, that was ok cause she didn’t jump down far. I will have to practice with her and train her not to do that moving forward just to be safe as she gets older. Just like my dog has to get used to it. I too have to get more comfortable with it, because right now I am a little nervous it is going to move, or slide on the ground, or slide at the location it connects to my vehicle. It makes me feel like I need to secure the ramp somehow to my vehicle instead of it just lying there. I may find it is fine without legs for support. However, it does make me a little nervous at the moment. As far as moving and storing the ramp. The ramp folds up very easily. There is a snap to hold it together to keep it from elongating when you are carrying it. There is a comfortable handle to use to carry the ramp. The surface of the ramp has a nice texture so there isn’t any slipping on the ramp. It is a bit heavy, but I suppose that is what adds to the stability of it. I wouldn’t want anything cheap and poorly made. This ramp definintely feels well made and substantial. So overall I am very pleased with this purchase. It keeps me from needing to lift my dog in and out of the vehicle. With usage and time will come confidence that it is safe and secure for my dog.
