The male Longfin Cherry Barb stands out with its striking red color, while the females also display some red coloration, a feature not commonly found in other species. It is recommended to provide tanks with hiding places and secure spots for the Longfin Cherry Barbs to ensure their comfort and well-being. When keeping Cherry barbs with longfins, it’s advisable to house them with fish of similar mild temperament to prevent them from hiding excessively. It’s important not to house them with fin-nipping fish such as Tiger Barb, skirt tetras, and loaches. It is advisable to keep Longfin Cherry Barbs in groups of at least 5, though keeping more is even better for their social well-being.
