It’s ideal for conducting flow surveys in open channels, partially filled sewer pipes, and surcharged pipes, making it well-suited for applications like sewer monitoring, industrial flow analysis, irrigation systems, and natural streams.Simple to OperateThe MantaRay measures both level and velocity to determine flow in open channels or pipes. Calibration is straightforward: just enter the pipe diameter or channel dimensions, and the meter automatically calculates and displays the flow rate and total on its backlit LCD.The ultrasonic sensor is easily mounted inside the pipe or on the channel floor with a stainless-steel bracket (included) using a single screw. No special tools or compounds are needed. The sensor is fully sealed with no openings, preventing build-up and fouling.Extended Battery Life with Sleep ModeThe MantaRay’s sleep mode conserves battery life by deactivating the display, outputs, and non-essential functions. The sensor briefly activates to take measurements based on the set logger interval, then returns to low power mode until the next reading. While in sleep mode, the display flashes periodically to indicate its status.Flexible Power OptionsFor extended operations, you can connect external 12V or 24V DC batteries, or use the supplied charger for continuous power, long-term 4-20mA output, and relay functions.Portable and Versatile Flow MonitoringWith its portability, the MantaRay is ideal for tasks like flow verification, sewer monitoring, industrial effluent studies, stormwater management, streamflow measurements, and irrigation.Seamless Integration with SignalFire RANGER for Cloud-Based ReportingWhen paired with the SignalFire RANGER, the MantaRay can operate in a power-saving sleep mode and “wake up” when the RANGER activates to transmit data to the cloud.
