The 3-star rating is only for now. Trigger arrived timely, well packaged, good installation instructions. The Rifle Basix trigger went into the Ruger M77 easily. My 19-year old son did the swap (with some oversight naturally) in just a few minutes, so you shouldn’t have a problem. There was a small fitment issue involving the safety that was resolved with blue Loctite. Ultimately, sear engagement provided a /maximum/ trigger pull of only a few ounces. Much too light on a 338 short mag. Trigger was pulled and reinstalled. Same result. I spoke with one of the owners of Rifle Basix for tech support. He asked several questions and (without being prompted) quickly decided to send a second trigger for experimentation purposes. No request for additional money–but of course I will send one of the two triggers back. Just really good customer service. Not sure what’s going on that produces the very light trigger pull even after adjusting the RB trigger for a heavier pull. There is barely a detectible trigger wall to overcome before the trigger breaks. Visibly the sear engagement is about the dimension of a whisker and is highly polished. When the new trigger goes into the rifle I will update my review and rating.
