Ruger RU-VT M77 MK II Varmint / Target (8oz-3lb)

I recently purchased a pair of Rifle Basix triggers to replace the 2 piece triggers in a pair of Ruger M77 MKII V (Target) Rifles. Both of these guns shoot very well but the trigger pull was in excess of 4lbs and no amount of tweaking would take it below that. So far I have installed one on the .308, very simple drops right in and the eccentric set screw for the safety is clever and simple. It went smoothly and was 8oz. with the stock spring. A couple of adjustments and it is 10oz. crisp and with no discernible creep. I have yet to test it at the range but I believe it will tighten up my groups a lot. It all went so well that I called Rifle Basix to make sure I had not done something wrong! It went to voice mail so I hung up, Jeff called me back 15 min later, how that for customers service! We had a good talk and he confirmed that I had followed the instructions correctly. Next step is to change the .223 trigger and head to the range.
