By far the best, most cost effective improvement for my 1975 tang safety Ruger M77V in .22-250. My rifle had a trigger that felt ok, but not great. It measured on my Lyman digital trigger gauge at 4 lbs, 2 oz. I tweaked, tuned, polished, and fiddled with it for several hours and ended up with a modest improvement that wasn’t worth the time and still didn’t get me where I wanted to be (~2.5lb and crisp). I purchased the Rifle Basix RU-7 sear for the rifle, installed it per the excellent instructions, and couldn’t believe the improvement. The trigger is now 2 lbs, 4 oz and breaks like a glass toothpick. I actually had to TIGHTEN the trigger adjustment screw to bring it up from 1 lb, 14 oz. After checking to ensure the sear engagement was sufficient and the safety functioned properly, my rifle is ready to HUNT. Varmints and predators, beware!
